Hezbollah declared it executed two additional assaults on Israeli military positions on Sunday.
The organization stated it successfully struck a congregation of Israeli soldiers near the Ramim barracks with missiles, and in a separate action, launched two Falaq-1 missiles at the Zibdine barracks located in the contested Shebaa Farms area.
Concurrently, the Israeli military responded by shelling the periphery of Aita al-Shaab, a town near the southern border.
Hezbollah also paid tribute to two of its members, stating they died “on the road to Jerusalem,” a term used to honor those killed in confrontations with Israel. Reports suggest these fighters were likely casualties of an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in Syria’s Qusayr region.
This announcement follows Hezbollah’s declaration of 10 attacks against Israeli positions the previous day, citing these were acts of solidarity with Gaza and retaliation against the bombardment of Lebanese towns and civilian residences.
Since October, the conflict has resulted in the death of at least 276 individuals on the Lebanese side, predominantly Hezbollah combatants, along with 44 civilians. On the Israeli side, casualties include 10 soldiers and six civilians, as reported by the Israeli military.
The ongoing hostilities have led to the displacement of thousands of people from their homes on both sides of the border, with Israel indicating the possibility of escalating its military response against Hezbollah to ensure the safety and return of its citizens.
