Hezbollah Shells Israel’s Mt. Neria After Heavy Strikes on Lebanon Valley

Hezbollah announced on Saturday that it launched multiple Katyusha rockets at Israel’s Mount Neria military base in retaliation for an overnight Israeli attack on the southern Lebanese town of Froun. The Israeli army had earlier stated that its warplanes struck “over 15 rocket launchers” in the area.

“Air Force fighter jets, under the command of the Northern Command, attacked more than 15 launchers and military infrastructure of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon in the last hour,” the Israeli military reported.

Lebanon’s National News Agency added that a valley between the towns of Froun and Srifa was hit by more than 10 Israeli airstrikes.

In addition, Israeli artillery intermittently shelled the southern border town of Aita al-Shaab on Saturday morning.
