Hezbollah Ready to Confront Israel, Says Qassem

Amid ongoing regional instability, Hezbollahโ€™s deputy chief, Sheikh Naim Qassem, delivered a strongly worded speech during Ashoura commemorations, broadcast overnight. His address underscored escalating frustration with the current state of affairs along the Israeli-Lebanese border and signaled that continued restraint from the group should not be taken for granted.

In his remarks, Qassem accused Israel of perpetuating what he called an unacceptable campaign of aggression. He urged the Lebanese state to take a more proactive role in addressing the situation, asserting that authorities have a responsibility to act decisively and fulfill their obligations in protecting Lebanese sovereignty.

Qassem argued that Hezbollah has complied with the terms of the ceasefire agreement and emphasized that the groupโ€™s patience has limits. He cautioned against assuming indefinite silence or passivity, stating that circumstances may soon compel a response if violations persist.
