These sources, speaking to the Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, suggested that international observers believe Israel might widen its military operations as a precautionary measure. This strategy aims to prevent Hezbollah from emulating Hamas’s recent attacks on Israeli settlements surrounding Gaza.

In response to what it perceives as violations of engagement rules by Israel, Hezbollah has reportedly begun deploying advanced weaponry. The group’s goal is to establish a new strategic balance, which it hopes will deter further Israeli military actions in the region.
