Hezbollah announced overnight that it had launched dozens of Katyusha rockets at northern Israel. This Iran-backed group stated that their recent attack on Beit Hillel in northern Israel was a retaliation for Israel’s strikes on Kfarkela and Deir Siriane in southern Lebanon, which reportedly injured civilians.
Additionally, on Sunday, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the southern border village of Rab Tlatine, but no injuries were reported.
These incidents come as Israel anticipates a response from Hezbollah following the killing of its military chief, Fouad Shukur, in a bold strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Tuesday. That attack, carried out in a densely populated residential area, also resulted in the deaths of three women, two children, and an Iranian military adviser, while injuring over 80 people.
