On Wednesday, Hezbollah launched attacks on two Israeli command centers in northern Israel as a retaliatory act against an Israeli airstrike that killed a Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah reported that it struck an air control command center in Meron using a barrage of artillery shells, Katyusha rockets, and heavy rockets. Additionally, they targeted the Biranit barracks with heavy Burkan missiles. These attacks were in direct response to what Hezbollah referred to as an “assassination” in the south, although details about the victim or the exact location were not disclosed.
According to sources close to Hezbollah and various media outlets, an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle on the Tyre-Al-Hosh main road on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a field commander from Hezbollah.
In an early Wednesday statement, Hezbollah announced the death of one of its members, Hussein Makki, describing him as “martyred on the road to Jerusalem,” without specifying his military rank.
Following these incidents, Hezbollah also targeted technical equipment and surveillance systems at the Radar post in the occupied Shebaa Farms area.
In retaliation, Israeli forces shelled Jabal Blat in southern Lebanon.
