22 November is the Independence day for Lebanon. It is a national holiday which commemorates the end of the French control over Lebanon in 1943.
David P Carroll has written a beutiful poem for this special day:
In the land of Lebanon
And we are proud and free and
We’ll celebrate our independence
Day with glee
And united we stand proudly hand in hand
And honoring our pride and true history
And our culture is so very precious
It’s felts inside our heart’s
And so on this special day we
Will celebrate our Independence day and
Our little children we raise the Lebanese flags High up in the clear blue sky
Chanting we are Lebanese and proud
And we’ll remember the heroes who fought for this special day we celebrate today
There Inside our hearts every day
And with faith and courage we face the unknown and we are brave
Lebanese men and women and
That’s the truth and
For Lebanon’s independence day
Our hearts are pure and true and
We are all loyal Lebanese men and
Women too
So let’s all come together brothers
And sisters hand in hand we stand
And we’ll cherish the freedom of our
Precious and beautiful country
So God bless you all everyone who’s from Lebanon today peace and love to you all
And happy Independence day.
David P Carroll.
