Gallant asserts that Israel has successfully driven Hezbollah forces away from the border area

During a recent situation assessment at the Israeli army’s Northern Command, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was updated on the operations along the Lebanon border.

Gallant emphasized Israel’s determination not to revert to the state of affairs before October 6th. He highlighted the significant impact on Hezbollah, mentioning the loss of approximately 150 operatives, damage to their infrastructure, and their forced withdrawal from the vicinity of the border fence. He also noted the Israeli Air Force’s unrestricted operations over Lebanon.

Drawing parallels to the situation in Gaza, Gallant indicated that the same military strategy could be applied to Beirut, a prospect that Hezbollah is keenly aware of, according to Gallant. He clarified that while Israel is not seeking such an outcome, it is prepared to take necessary measures to ensure the safety and return of Israelis evacuated from areas near the Lebanon border.
