Gallant: Israel seeks diplomatic fix with Lebanon

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has cautioned that a conflict with Hezbollah would be severely detrimental for Israel and devastating for Hezbollah and Lebanon.

During his inspection of Israel’s northern border on Wednesday, Gallant mentioned that although Israel prefers a diplomatic resolution to the tensions on the northern border, the military is also gearing up for potential operations to facilitate the safe return of residents to their homes.

Since the onset of hostilities, several tens of thousands of civilians have been forced to flee from both Israel and southern Lebanon.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with Israel reporting the deaths of 15 soldiers and 10 civilians due to attacks from Lebanon.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Israeli offensives have claimed the lives of over 370 individuals, including more than 70 civilians and non-combatants.
