French Foreign Minister Colonna Set for Friday Arrival in Lebanon

“French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna is set to arrive in Lebanon this Friday, as reported by al-Jadeed TV on Tuesday.

During her visit, Colonna plans to inspect the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at Naqoura on Saturday and will conclude her trip the same day.

This visit follows her previous trip to Beirut in October, where she met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Speaker Nabih Berri, and Army Chief General Joseph Aoun. In a press conference during that visit, Colonna emphasized the need for Lebanese authorities to implement measures to prevent a conflict with Israel.

Earlier in the month, Colonna expressed concerns in an interview with Al-Arabiya, cautioning that any misjudgment could lead to Lebanon being drawn into an escalation with potential to extend beyond its southern region.”
