Israeli army chief Herzi Halevi emphasized the high readiness of troops during a visit to the Lebanese border, where exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah have been ongoing since October 8.
The killing of Hamas’ deputy leader, Saleh al-Arouri, in Beirut has raised concerns among residents near Israel’s northern border with Lebanon. There are fears that this event could lead to an escalation in the conflict with Hezbollah, heightening tensions in the region.
