New DCU Batman Update Fuels Superman-Batman Team-Up Rumours

James Gunn, co-chair of DC Studios, has confirmed that he anticipates reviewing two distinct Batman scripts by the end of 2025. One script is based on the “Brave and the Bold” storyline, focusing on Batman’s relationship with his son, Damian Wayne, who assumes the role of Robin.

The other script is rumored to adapt the “World’s Finest” comics, featuring a team-up between Batman and Superman. These developments come as DC Studios continues to expand its cinematic universe, with the upcoming release of “Superman” on July 11, 2025, serving as a significant milestone.

Actor David Corenswet, portraying Superman in the forthcoming film, has expressed interest in his character interacting with Batman in future projects. In a recent interview, Corenswet mentioned that upon discovering the existence of a vigilante dressed as a bat protecting his city, Superman would be intrigued and eager to meet him. This sentiment aligns with the potential “World’s Finest” adaptation, which would explore the dynamic between the two iconic heroes.
