Bukhari Informs al-Rahi of Plans to Advance Presidential Discussions in February

In a recent meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshra al-Rahi, the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, communicated that a significant international effort is set to commence in February aimed at facilitating the election of a president for Lebanon, as reported by a knowledgeable source.

Patriarch al-Rahi reportedly welcomed this news with satisfaction and expressed approval of the involvement of the five-nation group in Lebanese affairs, according to what the source revealed to ad-Diyar newspaper. The information was featured in the newspaper’s Wednesday publication.

Additionally, the newspaper disclosed that opposition members of parliament are actively engaging with political parties, working towards advancing discussions related to the presidential election in Lebanon.
