Bukhari Informs al-Rahi of Plans to Advance Presidential Discussions in February

In a recent meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshra al-Rahi, the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, communicated that a significant international effort is set to commence in February aimed at facilitating the election of a president for Lebanon, as reported by a knowledgeable source.

Patriarch al-Rahi reportedly welcomed this news with satisfaction and expressed approval of the involvement of the five-nation group in Lebanese affairs, according to what the source revealed to ad-Diyar newspaper. The information was featured in the newspaperโ€™s Wednesday publication.

Additionally, the newspaper disclosed that opposition members of parliament are actively engaging with political parties, working towards advancing discussions related to the presidential election in Lebanon.
