AS Roma vs Inter Prediction: 20/10/2024

Roma will have the services of former Rennes player Le Fée again, but they will be missing new recruit Saelemaekers, who is sidelined. There is also uncertainty surrounding Argentina international Dybala and veteran defender Hummels.

On the positive side, summer signing Dovbyk, who has already scored two goals in Serie A, will be available. Playmaker Pellegrini notched his first assist of the season last weekend, while promising midfielder Pisilli managed to get on the scoresheet. French international Manu Koné has quickly become an integral part of Roma’s midfield.

Inter, on the other hand, are still without key midfielder Barella and winger Buchanan, although the latter has not played a significant role. Aside from these absences, Inter will have a full squad available. Strikers Lautaro Martinez (2 goals and 1 assist in Serie A) and Marcus Thuram (4 goals and 1 assist in Serie A) are expected to return to the starting lineup after being rested during the midweek Champions League match.

Lautaro Martinez, who had a slow start to the season, has recently regained form, contributing 3 goals and 1 assist in the last three games. Midfielder Calhanoglu also impressed with a stunning free-kick goal against Red Star in the Champions League.

 

Prediction

Roma have been struggling at home, losing eight of their last ten Serie A games, and they are currently on a four-match run without scoring a goal. Inter, despite not being in top form away from home, have only suffered one loss in their last seven away matches.
