Iranian president warns of ‘heavier and regrettable response’ to any new aggression

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has stated that any new threats to Iran’s interests will receive a severe response, as reported by Iran’s state news channel IRIB. Similarly, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized on social media that while Iran does not seek to extend its defensive actions, it is prepared to defend its interests against any further aggression. He claimed that Iran’s actions are in line with its right to legitimate defense and contribute to regional and international peace.

Following its significant overnight assault on Israel, Iranian military leadership continues to issue warnings. The head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps asserted that Iran has established a new stance whereby it will directly counter any Israeli actions that threaten its interests or people. Additionally, Iran’s military chief warned the United States and Israel against further hostilities. Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, conveyed through the Swiss embassy that any U.S. collaboration with Israel in potential future actions would lead to threats against U.S. bases, stating they would face retaliation.
