Watch: Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 Trailer: Lady Gaga arrival and Weems’ spirit guide return

Netflix has dropped the trailer for the final four episodes of Wednesday Season 2, and it confirms the surprise return of Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie) — despite her apparent death in the Season 1 finale.

The footage opens with Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) regaining consciousness after being thrown out of a window at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital by Tyler (Hunter Doohan), an incident that left her in a coma. She awakens to find Weems — now dressed as a nurse — leaning over her with a teasing greeting: “Rise and shine, sleepyhead! Ready for your sponge bath?”

A Surreal Encounter and a New Role for Weems

The trailer shifts to a dreamlike landscape where Wednesday and Weems stand before a mysterious door leading to nowhere and a towering gorgon head statue with a fireplace in its mouth. Weems clarifies the bizarre setting: “This isn’t hell, Miss Addams, but I understand the confusion.”

When Wednesday asks why Weems is there if she isn’t dead, the former principal delivers the twist: “Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!” This supernatural role hints at an otherworldly connection between the two characters in Part 2.

Fractures Between Friends

In another scene, Wednesday finally comes clean to Enid (Emma Myers) about the threat she’s been keeping secret: Tyler’s plan to kill them both. Wednesday vows to fix the situation, but Enid fires back: “Fix it? You’re the reason he escaped.” Weems, visible only to Wednesday, sides with Enid — underscoring the tension between the friends.

Quick shots then show Wednesday, Enid, and other characters navigating both Nevermore Academy and the town of Jericho, with Weems’ voice warning: “If you don’t hurry, you’ll have nothing left to save.”

A Mysterious Voice and a Star Guest Appearance

The trailer ends with a chilling voice — believed to be Lady Gaga — saying, “Beware, there will be a price to pay.” Gaga’s role in the season remains under wraps, though her appearance as a guest star was previously confirmed.

With surreal visuals, high-stakes confrontations, and the promise of unexpected alliances, these final four episodes look set to deliver a tense and twist-filled conclusion to Wednesday’s second season.
