Judge Imposes Gag Order on Federal Agents Over Alleged Leak in Diddy Case

After multiple lawsuits, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs saw a minor win in court when a judge criticized federal agents for allegedly leaking investigation details about him. Combs, currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail twice, is awaiting trial.

Judge Orders Gag on Federal Agents

The court issued a gag order for federal agents and prosecutors following the publication of documents and images in *The New York Post*. These files reportedly contained explicit details of Combs’ private gatherings, which one federal officer referred to as “sick sh**.” Manhattan Federal Judge Arun Subramanian’s order restricts officials from discussing grand jury proceedings or other confidential aspects of the case, aiming to preserve the trial’s integrity.

Judge Subramanian’s Statement

Judge Subramanian commented on the matter, writing, “If remarks like these were made by an agent tied to this investigation, they are clearly inappropriate.” He further clarified that the gag order does not imply any findings of misconduct to date. “The goal of this order,” he continued, “is to prevent any further actions that could disrupt a fair trial, and the Court will address any violations accordingly.”

Diddy’s Legal Team Seeks Action

Earlier in October, Diddy’s lawyers requested a hearing over claims that Department of Homeland Security agents leaked a 2016 video allegedly showing Combs involved in an altercation with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. They hope the hearing will prevent further case details from being leaked to the media.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Combs has maintained his innocence, denying all allegations against him. His trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025.
