Biden Marks Oct 7, Pledges Full Commitment to Israel’s Security

On the first anniversary of the Hamas attacks, President Joe Biden reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security and the right of Israel to defend itself against adversaries such as Hamas and Iran.

“Vice President (Kamala) Harris and I remain fully committed to the safety of the Jewish people, the security of Israel, and its right to exist,” Biden declared in a statement. He also reflected on the impact of the attacks on both Israelis and Palestinians, labeling the onset of the conflict as a tragic day for Palestinians as well. “Far too many civilians have endured too much suffering over this year of conflict,” he added.
