As Israel intensifies its military actions across various fronts in the region, airstrikes in Gaza have continued without much respite.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israeli strikes have claimed the lives of at least 20 Palestinians and injured 108 others over the past 24 hours. The ministry further reported that the total death toll has reached at least 41,615, with 96,359 people wounded since the conflict began.
Rescue efforts are hampered by the destruction, with many victims still trapped under debris or stranded on roads, which emergency services are unable to access. The Government Media Office in Gaza estimates that around 10,000 people remain missing and are believed to be buried beneath the rubble.
Relief workers have previously informed CNN that damaged infrastructure from Israeli strikes is obstructing efforts to reach survivors.
CNN has not independently verified the figures provided by the health ministry, which does not differentiate between civilian and combatant casualties.
