Netanyahu Warns Yemen Rebels of ‘Heavy Price’ After Missile Strike

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a strong warning to Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Sunday after they claimed responsibility for a missile attack on central Israel.

In a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu stated, “This morning, the Houthis fired a surface-to-surface missile from Yemen into our territory. By now, they should understand that any attempt to harm us carries a heavy price,” according to a statement from his office. He further added, “Those who need a reminder should look at the port of Hodeida,” referencing the Israeli airstrikes on Yemen’s Red Sea city in July, following a Houthi drone attack that killed a civilian in Tel Aviv.

The Houthis, an Iran-backed group, are part of the broader Middle Eastern conflict, which escalated after Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7. Meanwhile, on Israel’s northern front, Hezbollah in Lebanon has also been exchanging fire with Israeli forces, with tensions threatening to escalate into a larger war.

Netanyahu emphasized, “We are engaged in a multi-front campaign against Iran’s evil axis, which seeks to destroy us.”Netanyahu Warns Yemen Rebels of ‘Heavy Price’ After Missile Strike
