Report: U.S. Sets Year-End Deadline for Israel to Conclude Gaza Conflict

Three officials from Tel Aviv, speaking anonymously to POLITICO, a U.S. news outlet, have revealed that President Joe Biden’s administration has set a year-end deadline for Israel to conclude its military operations against Hamas.

This timeline was emphasized by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his recent visit to Israel. However, Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer clarified in a security forum that the U.S. is not enforcing a strict deadline for the cessation of Israel’s military activities in Gaza.

The urgency of the U.S. stance became evident when Israeli officials, discussing their extended military strategy in southern Gaza, were met with a pointed response from Blinken, who indicated that the timeframe for their operation was shorter than anticipated.
