Latest: Intense Israel-Hezbollah Border Clashes Escalate:22/7/2024

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a suicide drone attack on al-Malkia in northern Israel on Monday. This attack followed a day after Hezbollah launched Katyusha rockets and drones at Israel, in retaliation for Israeli strikes that targeted Hezbollah’s weapons storage facilities in southern Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes responded by breaking the sound barrier over several areas in Lebanon, including Nabatieh, Iqlim al-Tuffah, Tyre, Sidon, Aramoun, Bchamoun, and Khalde.

Since the October 7 attack by Hamas on southern Israel, which ignited the conflict in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah has been engaging in nearly daily cross-border exchanges of fire with Israeli forces in support of Hamas.

According to an AFP tally, the ongoing violence has resulted in the deaths of at least 518 people in Lebanon, most of whom were fighters, along with at least 104 civilians. On the Israeli side, 18 soldiers and 13 civilians have been reported killed.
