Raad Predicts War’s Direction to Clarify Within Days

Hezbollah’s senior lawmaker Mohammad Raad indicated on Friday that the direction of their conflict with Israel will become clearer “within a few days,” likely referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to the U.S.

Raad urged patience, saying, “Let us wait a few days to understand the prospects and the atmosphere that will guide our next steps. We will not hesitate, abandon our resistance, or weaken in the face of tyranny and occupation.”

He emphasized that “the enemy will ultimately have to accept its situation, facing significant disappointment and failure.”

The ongoing cross-border violence since October has resulted in the deaths of 516 people in Lebanon, according to AFP. Most of the fatalities have been fighters, but at least 104 civilians are also among the dead.

In Israel, 18 soldiers and 13 civilians have been killed, according to official reports.

This violence has heightened fears of a full-scale conflict between the two adversaries, who last went to war in the summer of 2006.
