Qatari envoy Abou Fahad Jassem Al-Thani is set to visit Beirut soon to address security issues in southern Lebanon, not the presidential situation, a media report revealed.
According to informed sources cited by al-Akhbar newspaper, Al-Thani will engage with Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, and security chiefs to explore de-escalation possibilities on the southern front with Israel.
This visit aligns with coordination efforts with the U.S. administration, which has requested Doha’s involvement. The U.S. hopes that Qatari influence on Hamas, combined with intervention in Lebanon with Hezbollah, might help prevent a broader conflict.
