Report: US, France Urged Israel and Lebanon to De-escalate Sunday Flare-Up

According to the report, the United States applied pressure on both the Lebanese and Israeli sides to prevent further escalation and avoid the “mistake of war,” urging both to pursue a diplomatic resolution. The U.S. also reached out to Tehran through a “third party,” which could have been “Qatar or Oman,” according to “credible sources” cited by the report.
