US Envoy in Beirut Meets Berri, Mikati in Push to End War

U.S. special envoy Amos Hochstein arrived in Beirut on Monday for talks with Lebanon’s Prime Minister and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who is aligned with Hezbollah, as the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah approaches the one-month mark.

Hochstein first met with Berri at his residence in Beirut, where Berri, acting as Hezbollah’s representative, has been engaged in diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the ongoing war.
