Video: Trump pledges to crush pro-Palestinian protests if re-elected

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, addressing a group of wealthy campaign donors, vowed to crack down on pro-Palestinian protests at universities if he regains power.

Trump declared that if re-elected, he would deport all pro-Palestinian student protesters to ensure compliance. He emphasized his intention to curb campus protests, which have surged across the country in recent months. Speaking to a group he described as comprising “98 percent of my Jewish friends,” Trump made his stance clear, according to The Washington Post.

“I will expel any student protesting from the country. Many of them are foreign students. Once they hear this, they’ll fall in line,” Trump stated.

Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, characterized the protests against the Gaza conflict as part of a “radical revolution.” He assured his predominantly Jewish donors that he would roll back the movement by 25 or 30 years if he defeats Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election.

“If you re-elect me, we’ll turn back the clock on this movement by 25 or 30 years,” he asserted.

He further promised that foreign students participating in protests would be expelled by his administration. He praised the New York police for dismantling encampments at Columbia University and urged other cities to adopt a similar approach. “This needs to be stopped now,” he insisted.

In recent weeks, numerous college campuses in the United States have seen protests over the Gaza conflict. Israeli retaliatory attacks on Gaza have resulted in the deaths of more than 35,000 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.

Trump has previously commented on the Middle East conflict, advocating for a return to peace and an end to the violence. According to The Washington Post, Republican donors have urged him to take a firmer stance in support of Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

During the closed-door meeting, Trump reportedly assured donors that he supports Israel’s right to continue its “war on terror.”
