The upcoming weekend will see a meeting of the five-nation group dedicated to Lebanon, consisting of the United States, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt. This meeting, as reported in the media, aims to address the ongoing situation in Lebanon.
Nizar al-Aloula, an adviser to the Saudi Royal Court, will participate in this meeting. Following the discussions, al-Aloula plans to travel to Beirut to brief Lebanese officials on the outcomes of the meeting, as reported by the ad-Diyar newspaper.
Additionally, France’s Special Presidential Envoy for Lebanon, Jean-Yves Le Drian, is expected to make a visit to Lebanon, according to the same daily report.
The newspaper also mentioned that Qatari envoy Jassem bin Fahad Al-Thani is scheduled to visit Lebanon. However, there are reports suggesting that Al-Thani may have deferred his trip from the current timeframe to a later date.
