Berri: Resolution 1701 Is the Only Path to Security and Stability

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri highlighted on Friday that since at least September, Israel has missed multiple opportunities to establish a ceasefire, enforce Resolution 1701, restore peace, and facilitate the return of displaced individuals on both sides of the border.

Berri expressed these concerns during a meeting in Ain el-Tineh with UNIFIL’s Head of Mission and Force Commander, Lt. Gen. Aroldo Lázaro.

The Speaker emphasized Lebanon’s commitment to upholding Resolution 1701, viewing it as the sole path toward achieving security and stability in the region.
