On Wednesday, Hezbollah launched an attack on the Israeli Metulla post, in response to Israeli shelling in the areas around Kfarkela and al-Naqoura. Additionally, Israeli aircraft carried out strikes near Aita al-Shaab.
The Israeli military stated that it had aimed at Hezbollah positions on Tuesday following an incident where fire intercepted near the border resulted in injuries to two reserve soldiers.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has raised concerns about a wider regional conflict. This has been exemplified by the exchange of lethal fire between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, with Hezbollah entering the conflict on October 8 to support Gaza.
According to a count by AFP, the Israeli attacks in Lebanon have resulted in over 130 deaths, predominantly Hezbollah fighters, but also a Lebanese soldier and 17 civilians, which includes three journalists.
On the Israeli side, the conflict has led to the deaths of four civilians and seven soldiers, as reported by authorities.
