According to eyewitness reports provided to AFP, a convoy of Israeli tanks entered the southern part of the Gaza Strip near Khan Younis on Monday. This movement is widely interpreted as a precursor to imminent ground operations in the area by the Israeli military.
In addition to tanks, armored personnel carriers and bulldozers were also spotted. A local resident, Amin Abu Hola, aged 59, observed that the Israeli vehicles had penetrated approximately two kilometers (1.2 miles) into Palestinian territory, specifically in the village of Al-Qarara near Khan Younis. Another witness, Moaz Mohammed, 34, reported seeing Israeli tanks positioned along the southern part of the Salah al-Din road, which stretches from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip.
