Minister Warns: War with Hezbollah May Trigger Israel Power Outages

Should Lebanon and Israel escalate into full-scale conflict, Israel could face significant power disruptions, according to Kan News, citing statements from the Israeli Health Minister and the head of the Israeli Health Ministry. The projections indicate that 60 percent of Israel could experience rolling blackouts, with each outage lasting approximately two hours and occurring several times daily.

Such power shortages could lead to a critical strain on Israel’s healthcare infrastructure, particularly affecting the operation of ventilators and respiratory support devices. To mitigate these potential crises, the Health Ministry has proposed the creation of dedicated energy and oxygen stations throughout Israel. These facilities would ensure a continuous power supply for critical medical equipment like rechargeable ventilators, aiming to safeguard the healthcare system amidst wartime conditions.
