Mikati has announced plans for discussions supported by the United Nations to establish ‘stability’ in southern Lebanon

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced on Tuesday that upcoming discussions, facilitated by the United Nations, are scheduled in the next few months to enhance stability in Lebanon’s southern border area, which has been affected by conflicts. These discussions will focus on resolving disputes along the border shared with Israel, as Mikati informed a group from Lebanon’s consular corps. He expressed optimism that within the next three months, these efforts would lead to complete stability along the borders.
