Lebanese Army Targeted by Israeli Fire in Al-Ghajar

On Friday, Hezbollah targeted surveillance equipment in Metula and Israeli soldiers in Hanita, both located in northern Israel. In response, the Israeli army fired at Lebanese Army soldiers in al-Ghajar, although no casualties were reported.

Additionally, the National News Agency noted that Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over various regions in northern Lebanon, including Keserwan, Jbeil, Tripoli, al-Koura, and al-Matn.

Overnight and into the early morning, the Israeli army launched flare bombs at southern Lebanese villages along the border and used heavy-caliber machine guns to target areas such as Ramia and Aita al-Shaab.

Since October, the cross-border violence has resulted in nearly 500 deaths in Lebanon, primarily among fighters but also including 95 civilians, according to AFP. On the Israeli side, at least 29 people have been killed, most of whom were soldiers, according to official reports.
