Latest on Israel-Hezbollah clashes

Israeli aircraft struck a residence in the southern border town of Blida, as reported by the National News Agency. Emergency ambulance services were dispatched to the scene following the attack.

Earlier, an Israeli drone had targeted a home on the eastern fringes of Markaba.

In a related development, Hezbollah launched new strikes on Israeli military positions, targeting the Malkia, al-Marj, and Hanita areas. Hezbollah also claimed to have conducted an overnight assault on an Israeli unit attempting to retrieve a military vehicle from the Metula post, reportedly inflicting casualties.

Hezbollah disclosed that two of its fighters were killed overnight in the town of Kfarkela.

This ongoing exchange of fire across the Lebanon-Israel border has persisted since the onset of Israel’s conflict with Gaza. The violence has resulted in the deaths of at least 368 individuals in Lebanon, predominantly Hezbollah militants and at least 70 civilians, as per an AFP count.

On the Israeli side, the military has reported the deaths of 10 soldiers and eight civilians near the northern border since the beginning of hostilities.

The continued violence has driven tens of thousands of civilians to flee their homes in both Lebanon and Israel, heightening fears of a potential full-scale conflict reminiscent of the war in 2006 between Hezbollah and Israel.
