On Friday, the Kremlin issued a caution to the European Union regarding its intention to levy duties on Russian grain exports and the proposal to fund Ukraine’s armament with proceeds from Russian assets that have been frozen.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov highlighted, in response to inquiries about the EU’s planned grain tariff, that such actions would undoubtedly impact European consumers negatively. He further warned that the European bloc would encounter “very serious consequences” if it proceeded with its strategy to utilize the frozen Russian assets.
