Kanye West is the prime suspect in a battery investigation in Los Angeles after allegedly assaulting a man who reportedly touched his wife, Bianca Censori. This altercation is said to have occurred on Tuesday, and following the incident, West and Censori left the scene.
TMZ has reported that the police are looking into the matter and plan to contact West and his wife for their statements. According to a spokesperson for West, the man involved had physically assaulted Censori.
The spokesperson provided a detailed account to TMZ, explaining, “The assailant forcefully placed his hands under her dress, touched her directly, grabbed her waist, spun her around, and then blew kisses at her.”
The spokesperson described the contact as both battery and sexual assault.
This alleged confrontation took place at the famous Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles.
This is not the first instance of West being linked to such charges. In January 2022, he faced a lawsuit for assault, battery, and negligence following an incident where he reportedly punched Justin Poplawski, an autograph seeker. Poplawski alleged that West threatened him during this encounter, using intimidating language and referencing his divorce from Kim Kardashian before physically attacking him. Poplawski, who had previously received West’s autograph without issue, claimed that the assault led to significant injuries after he asked for an apology for the initial attack. Despite an investigation in 2022, charges were not brought against West due to a lack of sufficient likelihood of conviction.
On the day of the latest alleged incident, West and Censori were seen at Disneyland in Los Angeles. During the visit, Censori was observed walking almost barefoot, opting for bandages over shoes. The couple has been married since December 2022.
