Jumblat Calls for ‘Settlement’ to Prevent Endless War in Lebanon

Druze leader Walid Jumblat has expressed concerns that the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians “will not come to an end,” urging for a “settlement” in Lebanon to safeguard the country.

In a post on X, Jumblat stated, “All indications suggest that the war is just beginning and will not end anytime soon.” He also warned that “the Zionist project seems unlikely to stop with Gaza, but will extend into the West Bank, in continuation of the Balfour Declaration and a biblical vision.”

Jumblat emphasized the importance of “protecting Jordan” amidst these developments and suggested that “a settlement in Lebanon would be the solution.”
