In a recent escalation of conflict, an Israeli drone attacked a vehicle in Naqoura, a town along Lebanon’s southern coast, resulting in the death of three Hezbollah militants on Saturday morning. This incident followed claims by Hezbollah of launching a suicide drone strike against an Israeli military base in Liman, located approximately seven kilometers from the Lebanese border.
Additionally, Hezbollah announced the loss of two other militants and reported conducting a rocket assault on Israeli forces positioned near the Jal al-Allam military site.
In response, Israeli forces carried out artillery bombardments on several locations in Lebanon, including Aita al-Shaab, Majdal Zoun, Tayr Harfa, al-Jibbayn, Tallet al-Hamames, al-Wazzani, Alma al-Shaab, Dhayra, and Naqoura al-Labbouneh, with an airstrike also hitting al-Labbouneh.
The exchange of hostilities between Hezbollah and the Israeli military has become a near-daily occurrence amidst the ongoing Gaza conflict.
The toll on the Lebanese side has risen to at least 285 fatalities, predominantly among Hezbollah combatants and their affiliates, in addition to 44 civilian deaths. Israel reports the loss of 10 military personnel and six civilians, with displacement affecting tens of thousands of people across both Lebanon and Israel.
