Israeli Army Strikes Hezbollah Rocket Launcher in South Lebanon

On Friday, the Israeli military reported that it had targeted a Hezbollah rocket launcher in southern Lebanon after detecting militant activity, just two days into a ceasefire. The army stated that it had identified terrorist movement and the location of a Hezbollah portable rocket launcher in the area. This led to an Israeli Air Force strike on a truck seen moving slowly.

This attack followed several earlier military actions by Israel in southern Lebanon, including drone strikes on Thursday targeting a Hezbollah weapons depot. Lebanese state media confirmed these incidents.

The Lebanese army has yet to respond, but it has previously accused Israel of violating the ceasefire multiple times since it began.

Earlier, Israeli gunfire wounded two individuals in Bint Jbeil, and the army also opened fire at a funeral in Khiam, a town near the border. Additionally, Israeli forces shelled the outskirts of Markaba and Tallousah and made advances into southern villages, occupying areas they had not been in before the truce. In these villages, Israeli troops bulldozed roads, blocked paths, and uprooted olive trees in Khiam, Markaba, and Kfarkila.
