On Tuesday, the Israeli military announced the mobilization of four additional brigades for deployment along the northern border. This decision follows claims of overnight ground operations targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.
The military stated, “This deployment will facilitate ongoing operations against the Hezbollah terrorist organization and help achieve strategic objectives, including ensuring the safe return of residents in northern Israel to their homes.”
Despite these developments, there were no indications of active ground combat in southern Lebanon late Monday and early Tuesday. Sources from Hezbollah, the army, and the UNIFIL confirmed they had not observed any Israeli forces crossing into Lebanon.
