On Sunday, Israel executed multiple airstrikes in southern Lebanon, following Hezbollah’s claim of responsibility for an assault on an Israeli border outpost. This action is part of the ongoing cross-border hostilities that began on October 8.
The Israeli airstrikes targeted the border towns of Aita al-Shaab, Marwahin, Ramia, and Beit Leef, while Israeli drones conducted bombings near Alma al-Shaab and Naqoura.
According to the Israeli military, their operations focused on “infrastructure, positions, and military buildings” associated with Hezbollah in Ramia on Sunday morning. They also mentioned that prior strikes were carried out against suspected Hezbollah locations in Khiam, in response to anti-tank missiles launched from the area towards Israel’s Upper Galilee.
In response, Hezbollah released a statement confirming their involvement in the Sunday attack on the Hanita Israeli border post. They also paid tribute to Ali Saad, a member of their group who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon on Saturday.
