Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Artillery with Drones in Retaliatory Attack

On Saturday, Hezbollah announced that it had deployed suicide drones targeting an Israeli artillery position in Beit Hillel, which had been involved in strikes on Lebanese villages and civilians the previous day.

In a statement, Hezbollah claimed that the position was set ablaze following an “accurate” hit by the drones. Israeli media corroborated this, reporting that two drones had detonated in Beit Hillel.

On Friday, Hezbollah issued statements declaring that it had launched multiple rocket barrages at Israeli positions in Kiryat Shmona, Margaliot, Ayelet, and Shlomi. This action was described as retaliation for Israeli attacks on homes in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli military reported that two of its soldiers sustained minor injuries. In response to the rocket attacks, the Israeli forces fired artillery at several targets in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon’s state news agency NNA mentioned that Israeli positions had used white phosphorus shells. The Israeli army has previously asserted that it complies with international law regarding the use of such munitions.

NNA also reported that four individuals on the Lebanese side were lightly injured, including two firefighters.
