On Tuesday, the Israeli military reported that around 85 projectiles were launched from Lebanon towards northern Israel, impacting areas including the Upper Galilee, Central Galilee, and Haifa Bay, coinciding with a televised address by Hezbollah’s deputy chief, Naim Qassem.
During this attack, a 70-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries from shrapnel, and Israeli media showcased footage showing light damage to structures in the vicinity of Haifa, a major coastal city.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the barrage, describing it as a “large rocket salvo” directed at Haifa and its northern suburbs. The group stated that the attack was a retaliatory measure against Israeli assaults on urban areas and civilians in Lebanon.
In a related event, Israel conducted a severe airstrike on Haret Hreik, a southern suburb of Beirut.
