The media relations department of Hezbollah on Wednesday refuted reports claiming that Hezbollah militants had attempted to launch rockets at Israel from the southern Lebanese town of Rmeish as “false and baseless.” The department specifically denied any attempts to fire rockets from within Rmeish, near its school, or from the area surrounding the town.
Labeling these allegations as completely unfounded, the department criticized the sources spreading these rumors as malicious entities stirring discord among the Lebanese people, acting, deliberately or not, in favor of enemy goals.
Additionally, the pro-Hezbollah publication al-Akhbar pointed fingers at the Kataeb Party and the Lebanese Forces, accusing them of fostering conflict. It clarified that the footage circulating merely showed two civilian vehicles in olive groves far from Rmeish’s residential areas, in forested regions that border other towns, disputing claims of militant activity within the town’s inhabited zones.
