Watch: Harry Kane’s 6th Bundesliga Hat-Trick Propels Bayern Munich to Rout Stuttgart

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane delivered a hat-trick to lead his team to a dominant 4-0 win over VfB Stuttgart on Saturday, breaking their three-match winless streak across all competitions and maintaining their position at the top of the Bundesliga.

Kane, who had missed a clear scoring opportunity in the 51st minute, opened the scoring just six minutes later with a powerful strike from outside the box. The England captain, who had been goalless in his previous two Bundesliga games, the Champions League loss to Aston Villa, and England’s October matches, quickly found his rhythm again. He added a second goal in the 60th minute following a chaotic scramble in front of the goal.

Kane completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, marking his eighth goal of the Bundesliga season, after Joao Palhinha’s initial shot was blocked. Substitute Kingsley Coman then sealed the victory with Bayern’s fourth goal, curling the ball into the net in the 89th minute.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany expressed no concern over Kane’s previous scoreless run. “To be honest, I didn’t spend any time worrying about whether he scored or not in past games,” Kompany said in a post-match press conference. “I know his quality, and he’s always working hard, even in training. People sometimes overlook how much Harry does for the team. He always scores.”

Bayern suffered an early setback with midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic being substituted just eight minutes into the match due to a broken collarbone, an injury that will keep the Germany international sidelined for several weeks, according to the club. Despite this, Bayern maintained control of the game but couldn’t capitalize on their dominance in the first half.

Stuttgart, last season’s Bundesliga runners-up, began to fade after halftime, allowing Bayern to score three goals in a 23-minute span, with Kane playing a key role in putting the match beyond reach. The visitors’ best opportunity came in the 53rd minute when Josha Vagnoman fired over the bar from close range.

With this victory, Bayern sits atop the Bundesliga standings with 17 points, ahead of RB Leipzig, who secured a 2-0 win against Mainz 05, on goal difference. Freiburg follows in third place with 15 points, while defending champions Bayer Leverkusen sit in fourth, a point behind, after their 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
