Bayern coach Vincent Kompany expressed no concern over Kane’s previous scoreless run. “To be honest, I didn’t spend any time worrying about whether he scored or not in past games,” Kompany said in a post-match press conference. “I know his quality, and he’s always working hard, even in training. With this victory, Bayern sits atop the Bundesliga standings with 17 points, ahead of RB Leipzig, who secured a 2-0 win against Mainz 05, on goal difference. Freiburg follows in third place with 15 points, while defending champions Bayer Leverkusen sit in fourth, a point behind, after their 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
