Al-Jadeed TV has reported that Saad Hariri, the former prime minister and leader of the al-Mustaqbal Movement, is planning an extensive visit to Beirut. During his stay, Hariri intends to dedicate time to engage with his supporters and is open to meetings with various individuals, including ambassadors, politicians, and social figures.
The report also mentions that Hariri is scheduled to meet with several notable Lebanese figures, such as Speaker Nabih Berri, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan.
Sources from the Mustaqbal Movement, speaking to al-Jadeed, indicated that Hariri’s political comeback is linked to a broader regional agreement that would enable him to focus on revitalizing the economy and rebuilding Lebanon. This approach mirrors the efforts made by his father, Rafik Hariri, in 1992.
These sources also noted emerging signs of this regional settlement, citing recent U.S. and British positions that support a two-state solution and the recognition of a Palestinian state. This shift has been followed by a positive response from Hezbollah, which has shown openness to negotiations regarding the land border and the liberation of Lebanese territories under occupation.
Media reports suggest that Hariri’s arrival in Beirut is expected on February 14, coinciding with the 19th anniversary of the assassination of his father, Rafik Hariri.
