Hamas rockets target Israeli troops at vital Gaza-Israel crossing

Hamas’s military branch, the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, declared that they launched rockets targeting Israeli forces at the Kerem Shalom border crossing on Tuesday. This crossing, which is a crucial passageway between Israel and Gaza, had been closed since a previous attack over the weekend where the group also admitted to killing four Israeli soldiers.

The Israeli military reported that these latest rockets were fired from the Rafah region during an ongoing ground operation. Although sirens went off in the Kerem Shalom area, the Israeli army stated that the mortar shell launches resulted in no casualties or damage. This latest declaration by Hamas’s armed wing followed their similar attack on Sunday, where they targeted Israeli troops stationed at the same crossing.
