French-Qatari Summit to Address Southern Situation, Army Aid: Report

French President Emmanuel Macron and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, are set to convene on February 27, according to recent media disclosures. The gathering will also include the military leaders from France and Qatar, with Lebanon’s Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, joining a segment of the summit. This meeting aims to deliberate on the security dynamics in southern Lebanon and explore avenues for bolstering the Lebanese Army. This initiative emerges as an alternative to the previously scheduled Paris conference, which has been deferred, as reported by Nidaa al-Watan newspaper on Friday.
