Franjieh and the PSP were unable to reach a consensus on the process for military appointments

At the Bnashii meeting, Suleiman Franjieh, leader of the Marada Movement, and Taymour Jumblat, head of the Democratic Gathering, were unable to finalize an agreement on how to appoint a new army chief of staff and two members of the military council, according to media reports.

The Marada Movement, represented by MP Tony Franjieh, expressed concerns about the process of appointments, especially given the current absence of a president. Despite their disagreement on this issue, both parties emphasized that their relationship would not be affected. They agreed to maintain dialogue and continue discussions.
